Advertising Theory

Today me and three other classmates created an advertisement for a digital camera. Our target audience was students and our advertisement was to be published on a taxi.
We found the timing difficult, so in future I know to manage my time more efficiently to get better results and for an over all better presentation.
We decided that the camera should have the name 'Cameri', replacing the 'a' in camera with an 'i' to give the public a general idea of what we are selling. We chose this name as it sounds catchy as well as easy to remember. We also decided that the slogan/tag line would be "What you've been missing" as it's short, snappy and to the point. It might also get our audience thinking, persuading them to buy it as they would be missing out otherwise.

However, the first task on finding which company had which slogan proved difficult, it helped us with coming up with our own tag line. It gave us an idea on what type of slogan is most remembered. We found that majority of slogans are simple, short sentences, they also hinted/corresponded with the company name what they were selling.

Although the final design for our advert was rushed, we learned what they key factors were when making a good advertisement. Overall, I think today was a success!
