Memory check – a recap of things we have covered so far

Q1. What is ISO and what does it effect?

Ans. Controls the definition and detail. (Need good light for good ISO. The higher the ISO, means not good lighting)

Q2. When would we use the ‘P’ control setting on the camera mode dial.

Ans. Program- Automatically sets the shutter speed and aperture.

Q3. Name two important consideration when attaching the tripod baseplate to the bottom of camera?

Ans. Make sure it is attached to the camera securely so the camera does not fall and make sure it is attached the to tripod to avoid breaking the camera. Also, make sure its on the right way round.

Q4. Name three important considerations when using a red-head lighting kit

Ans. Never touch the barn doors or the bulb straight after using to avoid burns, never pack it away straight after using as the bulb is hot and can break easy.

Q5. When focusing the camera, what do we place on the object/subject to ensure it is the center of focus?

Ans. A green rectangle will appear over the object or person that is in focus.

Q6. Name two techniques we can use to adjust the brightness and contrast of a photograph?


Ans. The apature and the shutter speed. Or ISO.
